Valicia "Licha" Rodriguez, 70, of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. She was born on September 15, 1954, in Hobbs, New Mexico to Eusebio and Flavia Rodriguez. Valicia was well known by many in the neighborhood. She had a small snack store at her home. Valicia also worked for many years at the Lubbock Inn. She loved having her family and friends over on the weekends for a fun time of dancing, good conversations, and listening to old school music. She also loved to cook for everyone, always had something good for people to enjoy. She loved doing cross word puzzles, and reading novels, but you definitely did not disturb her novel time. Valicia loved to garage sale, and she enjoyed eating at The Plaza Restaurant. She enjoyed lending a helping hand to anyone when she could.

She is survived by her three daughters, Margaret Santana (Federico Maldonado), Christina Santana (Ramiro Valderes), Monica Santana (Jose Lopez); brothers, Adon Rodriguez, Jerry Rodriguez (Elizabeth); three sisters, Maria Valenzuela (Benny), Estella Flores, and Tonia Castillo; six step-sisters, Josie Guerra, Margie Rodriguez, Silva Rodriguez, Erma Rodriguez, Norma Nolan, Frances Rodriguez; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Valicia was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Matalde Rodriguez, Santiago Rodriguez, and Frank Rodriguez; stepsister, Yolanda Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 12:00 p.m. with funeral to begin at 2:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be as follow: Jake Rodriguez, Angel Rodriguez, Anthony Santana, Raymond Moreno, III, Joseph Delgado, and Elijah Bustos.
