Sylvia Rodriguez, a lifelong resident of Lubbock, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the age of 64. Sylvia was born on April 19, 1960, to David Rodriguez, Sr. and Anita (Garcia) Rodriguez in Lubbock, Texas.

Sylvia was employed at Pete's Drive-in for over 30 years, she loved playing games with the family and working on crossword puzzles in her down time. Sylvia was a joker, always made the best of any situation and loved taking care of her family, especially the babies. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed having cookouts along with the games. Sylvia attended Victory Life Church until her health would no longer allow her to.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jennifer Rodriguez; three grandchildren, Alyssa Villagomez, Jonas Villagomez, and Avorie Villagomez; siblings, David Rodriguez, Jr. and wife Connie, Carlos Rodriguez and wife Diana, Mary Martinez and husband Steve, and Adel Rodriguez; sisters-in-laws, Teresa Rodriguez and Romana Rodriguez; closest of friends, Maria Sariana, Abel Trevino and wife Michelle; several extended family members and friends.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, David "Apa" and Anita "Ama" Rodriguez, Sr., two sisters and three brothers.

A celebration of life services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home, 1928 34th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79411. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
