Scherry Elaine Willis, 71, of Afton, passed away on, Monday, June 20, 2022, in Lubbock. She was born on January 19, 1951, in Lubbock to Wright "Pappy" and Melba Jo (Edwards) Martin. Scherry was a very active, kindhearted and supportive, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a long-time member of the Dickens County Lions Club, love fishing, very supportive of her daughter and granddaughter in all of their school events and programs. She had a love for music, even though she could not read music, she used her God given talent to play all kinds of instruments, sang and loved to dance. During her early years of life she was a hairdresser, later becoming an in home caregiver. She was Methodist by faith. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Heather Willis; two grandchildren, Trinity and Josh Willis; one sister, Marsha Condron; one niece, Tracy Lyde; and one nephew, Bobby Condron; several extended family and friends. Scherry was preceded in death by her parents, Pappy and Melba Martin, ex-husband, Ernest Willis, and her grandparents. There are no services being held at this time. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
