Rudy Ochoa, 69, of Lubbock, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022. He was born on April 12, 1953, in Yorktown, Texas to Miguel and Eloisa (Rodriguez) Ochoa. He met the love of his life, Belinda Picon, 35 years ago and they were married in December of 2018, in Lubbock. Rudy worked for Exxon and Chevron, two of the last full service fueling stations in Lubbock, his latest job was with West Texas Paving. Rudy loved working on cars and also had a passion for music, his talent ranged from singing to playing his guitar and accordion. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Rudy will be missed by all that knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Belinda Ochoa; children, Michelle Ochoa, Danny Ochoa, Theresa Ochoa, Barbara Ramos, Betty Lasolla and husband David, Brenda Ramos, and Dominga Ochoa; two brothers, Ignacio Ochoa and wife Adela, Mike Ochoa and wife Dora, and George Ochoa and wife Janet; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Eloisa Ochoa; one son, Rudy Ochoa; three sisters, Carmelita Martinez, Cruzita Garcia, and Beatrice Valdez; and one brother, Paul Ochoa.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, for the family from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with a public visitation from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and a prayer service being held at 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
