Ruben Prieto, 60 of Lubbock passed away on October 28, 2020. He was Born in Lubbock on December 13, 1959 to Santos and Guadalupe (Gutierrez) Prieto. Ruben was a lifelong resident of Lubbock, where he was a graduate of Lubbock High School. He avidly enjoyed playing softball. He acquired many lifelong friends while playing with the team "The Builders" Those friends would go on to affectionately give him the nickname "Boney". Ruben enjoyed being asked to be the "pit master" at many family gatherings. Ruben greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, Especially his grandchildren whom he adored with every ounce of his being. Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Serena, Amber and Aaron Prieto, grandchildren: Ethan Gage, Brayden Chase, Carter Trae, Cinda Jan, Jason John Ruben and Brooklyn Madisyn, siblings: Danny, Mario, Manuel, Ricky, Joe, Roy, Ophelia, Frances, Marylou. Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Santos Prieto, Jr. There will be no services held at this time.
