Graveside service and entombment for Rosita Guevarra Austria Blair, 81, of Kannapolis, NC will be at 10:00a.m. at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. She gained her wings on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 at Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County in Kannapolis, NC. Rosita was born to Policarpio and Guadalupe Austria on January 12th, 1940 in Gerona, Tarlac, Philippines. She completed an 8th-grade education. Rosita worked at a restaurant in Angeles City, Philippines where she met Thomas Blair. They married on May 17th, 1968. Rosita was an accomplished cook. SHe prepared Filipino dishes and sold food plates to friends and co-workers at Tyco Fire Protection where she worked for 15 years. She loved cooking for family and friends, and always had enough to send home with everyone for a second meal. She enjoyed crocheting beautiful doilies and table cloths, playing cards with family and friends, playing bingo, watching Filipino soap operas, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister, husband, and great-grandson. She is survived by two daughters Gloria Heller of Kannapolis, NC, Ligaya Williams of Lubbock, TX; two sons Eddie and Noel Aguilar of Lubbock, TX; one brother Policarpio Austria of Tarlac, Philippines, 6 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Rosita was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
