Rose Anna Nunez

Rose Anna Nunez, 70, was born on August 15, 1955, to Pete and Delores Garcia. She passed into eternal life on December 9, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. Rose Anna was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, spending a great part of her life caring for her late daughter and grandchildren in their early years, and until her daughter’s last days. She was the memory holder for her family, always recording and capturing their laughter and love during every holiday or get together. She will be deeply missed for all those that loved her and all those she loved.

She is survived by her son, Andy Hernandez of Mesa, Arizona; stepdaughter, Jonina Franco of Lubbock, Texas; her brothers, Martin, Pete, Octavio, and Chris Garcia of Lubbock, Texas; her sister, Yolanda Garcia of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren, Andrea, Joanna, Andrew, and Eliza of Mesa, Arizona; Dezirey, Angelique, and Angelo of Abernathy, Texas; Nathaniel and Nadia of Lubbock, Texas; and by many great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Nunez; daughter, Jo Ann Cantu; mother and father; sisters Sylvia Flores, Lydia Garcia, Maricelda Sanchez and Fabiola Garcia.

Rose Anna leaves a legacy of love behind her and her warm spirit will be greatly missed.

Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
