Rosa Rios Martinez, 66 years old was called home on March 2, 2021. She was born to Eloy and Matilda (Villareal) Rios in Lubbock, Texas. She married Pete Martinez on July 27, 2002 after being in love with him for over 45 years. Rosa was a home care provider, she was a fun, loving, caring person who would try to help those in need. She was a joker who loved to be funny, but most of all she was loved by those that knew her. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Pete Martinez: daughter, Rebecca Lopez and her husband Roberto: son, Rudy Perez; ten grandchildren and her first great grandson who was only three days old at the time of her passing; one brother, Johnny Rios and wife Mary Jane: five sisters, Irene Ursua and husband Manuel, Frances Rios and husband Geronimo, Dora Maria Rios, Josie Martinez and Geneva Hernandez. Rosa is preceded in death by her son, Pete Perez: her parents: sister, Carman Rios: two brothers, Ruben Rios and Eloy Rios, Jr. and one uncle, Fernando Villarreal. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. with rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her husband, Pete Martinez, son-in-law, Robert Lopez, grandsons, Justin Gonzales and Ricardo Lopez, brother-in-law, Manuel Ursua and brother Johnny Rios.
