Robinette was born in Pennsylvania on November 30, 1945. She was adopted by her loving family and moved to Lubbock, Texas, in 1952 and moved to Brownfield in 1963. She passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 79. Services will be held at House of Angels Funeral Home, 1211 Lubbock Road in Brownfield on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2:00pm with burial to follow at Brownfield Cemetery.

Family was the greatest joy of Robinette's life, and her love and warmth were evident in every interaction with her loved ones. She embraced the blessings of family life, dedicating herself to creating a loving, nurturing home. Robinette and her husband Chon shared many wonderful years together before his passing in 2023. Their bond was strengthened through their shared love of family, including treasured moments spent with their grandchildren. Together, they enjoyed occasional adventures, such as visiting Graceland and exploring national parks, where they marveled at the beauty of God's creation.

A passionate baker, Robinette found peace and fulfillment in the kitchen, where she delighted in making homemade treats, jellies, and baked goods. Her heart was also open to animals, and she welcomed any stray that crossed her doorstep. A strong and resilient woman, Robinette faced life's challenges head-on with unwavering courage, and her kindness and genuine nature left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her battle with cancer was another testament to her incredible strength. Throughout her illness, Robinette fought with fierce determination and grace, never allowing her spirit to falter. Her unwavering faith and inner strength carried her through, inspiring all those who were fortunate to witness her resilience. Now at peace, her body is healed, and she is free from pain.

Robinette was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Mary Alice Gonzalez, and her beloved husband, Chon. She is survived by her three sons: John Floyd Jr. (J. Lee), Jack Floyd, and Jim Floyd; daughter Janette Crandall; brother David; sister Brenda; and her grandchildren: Alejandro, Zach, Barret, Nichole, Jenna, Dominic, Nathaniel, Jewel and Noah.

Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
