Roberto Delgado Mata, 59, of Lubbock passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022. He was born on May 12, 1962, in Chihuahua, Mexico to Elias and Romana (Delgado) Mata. Robert loved spending time with his family, he loved cruising around town with them listening to music, he enjoyed building and selling dog houses that he made, playing pool and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Those left to cherish his memory are his five children, Laura Isabel Mata, Robert Mata, Tiffany Cabello, Corina Bitela and husband Benny, and Ruben "Peewee" Huerta and wife Jeri; mother, Romana Mata; four siblings, Luis Mata and wife Bertha, Jesus Mata and wife Atala, Javier Mata and wife Mary, and Alfredo Mata and wife Lydia; twelve grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Elias Mata. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. with rosary being recited at 1:00 p.m. with a blessing to follow at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
