Robert "Big Rob" Garcia, a lifelong resident of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, September 24, 21, at the age of 40. He was born on August 20, 1981, to Albert Garcia, Sr. and Mary (Tijerina) Gardea, in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Estacado High School, and loved dancing, playing pool, watching movies, and listening to music, however he seriously enjoyed snacking on his bag of hot cheetos. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Mary Tijerina Gardea and Albert Garcia, Sr. and wife Lupe Sosa; siblings, Albert Garcia, Jr and wife Yadira, Mary Maya Gonzalez, and Trish McGaha and husband Quentin, along with several extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00p.m. with rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, Woodrow, Texas.
