Rita Rochelle Hernandez, 47, of Lubbock passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Friday, November 20, 2020. She was born on August 18, 1973 in Dimmitt, Texas to Gumercindo (Chindo) Correa, Sr., and Carolina (Gamez) Correa. Rita was a proud member of the ACTS community and St. John Neumann Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family especially with her five grandchildren. Those left to cherish her two daughters; Devin and Alyssa Hernandez, parents; Chindo and Carolina Correa, brother, Gumercindo "JR" Correa, Jr. and wife Mary, Twin sister, Misty Gutierrez and husband Robert, sisters; Lora Villanueva and husband Stacy and Lali Herrera and husband Tim, five grandchildren; Avianna, Alianna, Rhemi, Abram and Royce. Rita was preceded in death by her grandparents, Julio and Lucia Gamez. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. with rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made by clicking the "Donate Now" button at the top of the screen to assist with the finances of the funeral services.
