Richard Carter Melville, 73, of Lubbock, TX, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2022. Richard was born on June 8, 1948, to Victor and Ruth Melville in Wichita Falls, TX. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 1966, he went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education at Texas Tech University. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Ruth Melville. He is survived by two sons, Daniel Melville of Lubbock, TX and Joel Melville of Midland, TX. Richard is remembered by his friends and family in the community of Lubbock. He was well known throughout the community by his friends for being a kind man with a big heart. He was also a supporting and loving father that gave the best for his sons. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home
