Ramon Alonzo Islas Munoz, 38, of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born on March 12, 1982 in Odessa, Texas to Ramon and Maria (Munoz) Islas. Ramon graduated from Monterey High School in 2000, and he worked for Ramon's Concrete, the family business, for over 15 years. Ramon's smile and personality lit up every room that he entered. He had a strong love for his family and friends, but more so for his best friend and nephew "Cheke". From a young age Ramon developed a passion for music, and later could be heard on the local radio stations, as well as the DJ at different events in the area. He would sit for hours and mix his own music. Ramon worked for La Ley 103.5 for several years. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents: Ramon and Maria Islas, his siblings: Isla Islas and Hector Munoz and his four nieces and nephews: Alonzo Bazaldua, Hector Villa, Jr., Kenia Quintana and Christina Villa and several extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9 from 12:00 P.M.- 9:00 P.M. with the rosary being recited at 5:00 P.M. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
