Perfecto Torrez Rios, 83, of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022. He was born on April 18, 1938, in Lockhart, Texas to Juan Luna and Juanita (Torrez) Rios. Perfecto began working with Service Compress Warehouse in the early 1960's, which became Lov-Cot warehouse in 1988. He was a Hyster driver and then after 43 plus years he retired as a night watchman in 2012, after retirement he took time to enjoy his family and friends. He was a very hard worker and enjoyed watching westerns, horror, and war movies. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all that knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his five children, Juan "Martin" Rios and wife Lupe of Lubbock, TX, Anita McNeal of Las Vegas, NV, Lydia Rios Garcia and husband Jesse of Lubbock, TX, Daisy Salinas and husband Frank of Slaton, TX, and Luz Albert and Maria Luisa Tellez of San Antonio, TX; two sisters, Maria Guadalupe Rios Mata and husband Angel of Crystal City, TX and Juanita Rios Ramirez of Corpus Christi, TX; 18 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. Perfecto was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Juanita Rios; son-in-law, Gary McNeal; granddaughter, Miesha McNeal; eleven siblings, Ramon Rios, Juan Rios, Jesus Rios, Donaciano (Chano) Rios, Julian Rios, Merce Rios, Rosa Ballesteros, Terresa Morones, Maria Rios, Alvina Rios Torrez, and Virginia Rios Espinosa. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with burial to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery, Lubbock, Texas.
