Pedro Escamilla, Jr., 66, of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021. He was born on November 4, 1954 in Lubbock to Pedro Escamilla, Sr. and Guadalupe (Alvarado) Flores. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1973 and attended South Pains College until he enlisted in the United States Army. He was a family man; he loved his time around the Bar-B-Q grill.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 27 years; Irene (Martinez) Escamilla, children; Max Escamilla and his wife Jennifer, Geneva Valdez and husband Louis, John Escamilla, Michael Valdez and wife Melissa and Lisa Chavez and husband Will, 13 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters; Diana Rodriguez and Betty Valdez.
Pedro is preceded in death by his parents; Pedro Escamilla, Sr. and Guadalupe Flores, stepfather; Domingo Flores, and grandparents; Max and Leonor Alvarado.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at The Door Christian Fellowship, 4130 34th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79410 with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, Woodrow, Texas.
