Obituary

Patti Loraine Sullivan Smith, 71, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on June 18, 2025. Born June 1, 1954, in Muleshoe, Texas, to Tommie and Louise Sullivan, Patti began her journey rooted in community and family. She worked as a waitress at the original Leal's restaurant in Muleshoe before marrying the love of her life, Joe Smith, on March 27, 1974.

Patti dedicated herself to creating a warm and nurturing home. After welcoming their first child, Traci, in Muleshoe, she and Joe moved to Andrews, where they were blessed with sons Michael and Shannon. As a devoted stay-at-home mom, Patti poured her heart into caring for her family, especially through her gift of home-cooked meals. She delighted in preparing treats for her children's school events, cheering them on at every activity, and serving as their unwavering champion.

The family settled in Levelland in 1989, where they raised their children and later welcomed four cherished granddaughters, who became the light of Patti's life. She and Joe shared a love of adventure, traveling together and creating countless memories—often centered around their shared passion for baseball, particularly her beloved Chicago Cubs.

Patti's gentle spirit, kindness, and unwavering love will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Louise Sullivan; and her beloved husband, Joe Smith.

Patti is survived by her three children: Traci Smith(Robby) of Lubbock, Michael Smith (Shanna) of Lubbock, and Shannon Smith (Stacy) of Lubbock; her adored granddaughters: Rebecca (San Antonio), Kortni (Lubbock), Ami (Mesa, AZ), and Addison (Lubbock); her brother, Danny Sullivan(Austin); brother Gary Sullivan(Karen) of Palmview, TX; and many loving extended family members including Malcolm, Hayden, Annelise, John (Phyllis), Garrett, Stetson, Bradly, Chad, (Allie),Wyatt, Karry, (Truman),Sully, Vada, Holland, and Niley.
