Ofelia (Medina) Paiz, 65, of Lubbock, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She was born on March 23, 1956, to Toribio and Augustina (Renteria) Medina in Taylor, Texas. After she graduated high school she married Juan Paiz, Jr. in O'Donnell, Texas on August 1, 1975, and together they began their family. Ofelia loved having her family around and enjoyed playing bingo. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 46 years, Juan Paiz, Jr.; six children, Cynthia Barrera and husband Mike, Juan Paiz, III, Christopher Paiz, Gilbert Paiz and wife Valerie, James Paiz and Delia Paiz; one brother, Miguel Medina, and 13 grandchildren. Ofelia is preceded in death by her parents, Toribio and Augustina Medina; three brothers, one sister and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 3:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. with rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. and a come and go visitation will also be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home, Lubbock, Texas.
