Norma Torres (Segura) Serna, 69, of Lubbock passed away in her home, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 30, 2024. She was born on May 5, 1955, in Midland, Texas to Victor Segura, Sr. and Ninfa Torres Segura. She married the love of her life, Joe David Serna, on July 2, 1977, in Lubbock and together they began their family. She was a teacher's aide in the Lubbock schools for over 20 years. After her retirement she began playing bingo and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Jody Serna and wife Unique and Jason Serna; two daughters, Ashley Flores and Miranda Cano; siblings, Victor Segura, Jr., Juan Segura, Carlotta Martinez, and Pete Trevino; nine grandchildren, and several extended family members.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, David Serna, parents, Victor Segura, Sr. and Ninfa Segura, siblings, Richard Segura, Isabel Segura, Guadalupe Segura, Andres Segura and Esther Vega.
Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. with the rosary being recited at 1:00 p.m. and a celebration of life service beginning at 3:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel, 1928 34th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79411. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
