Nathan Bryan Freeman, 32, of Houston, formerly of Lubbock, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. He was born on February 6, 1991, to Phillip Freeman, Jr. and Tessa (Halverson) Freeman. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and began his career as a mechanic. He loved to "work on" things, including computers and Ford Mustangs. He was a great chef, and had the best brisket, he played, talked and watched football, and ALWAYS rooted for the Dallas Cowboys. Nathan enjoyed playing chess and listening to music. Nathans children were the light of his world, he loved spending time with them. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Phillip and Tessa Freeman, Jr.; children, Kyera Freeman, Isabel Freeman and Franchesca Luna Freeman; sister, Jessica Platt and husband Dakota Ard; brothers, Brandon Freeman, and Taylor Freeman; grandparents, Barbara Lou and Tommy, Connie Flewellyn, Phillip Freeman, Sr., and Forrest Waddill; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Platt, Hayden Ard and Dylan Ard; several extended family members.

Nathan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank Ponder; great grandparents, Mary and Bob Ponder and Odis and Minnie Jo Helms and Christine Waddill.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Lubbock First Church of the Nazarene, with Bobby Cranston officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
