Miguel W. Gallardo, Sr., 90, of Meadow, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in Lubbock. He was born on September 28, 1934, in San Fermin, Chihuahua, Mexico, to the late Alejandro A. Gallardo, Sr. and Dominga Juarez Gallardo. Miguel married Concepcion Flores in June of 1960, and together they began their family, they were married for 51 years before her passing in 2011. He was a hard worker, working in the cotton fields at a young age and later became the head ginner with Meadow gin where he worked for almost 50 years before retiring. He loved working in his yard and being home to enjoy the fruits of his labor. He was a very loving, humble and lighthearted man who never met a stranger. Miguel loved being silly and joking around with his family and friends. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many, and he will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Bertha Estrada and husband Manuel, Sylvia Gallardo, Irma G. Rodriguez and husband Migel, Miguel Gallardo, Jr. and wife Pennie, Eddy Gallardo and wife Joetta; siblings, Alex Gallardo, Jr., Nick Gallardo, Pete Gallardo, Art Gallardo, Joe Gallardo; ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Miguel was preceded in death by his wife, Conception Flores Gallardo; parents, Alejandro and Dominga Gallardo; grandchildren, Amri Rodriguez, and Mike Rodriguez, Jr.; sisters, Mauricia Hermocillo, Antonia Laureles, Priscilla Ibarra; brothers, Toby, Andres, Merejildo, and Andrew Gallardo.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a celebration service being held at 6:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel, 1211 Lubbock Rd., Brownfield, Texas 79316. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Meadow, with burial to follow in the Meadow Cemetery, Meadow, Texas.
