Michael "Mike" Thomas Quimby was born February 14th 1955, in Nurnberg, Germany to Martha & James Quimby and passed away in Lamesa, TX July 7th, 2023. Mike proudly served in the US Army, where he received an honorable discharge in 1977. Later, he began working for the Ford Motor Company as an auto mechanic where he stayed for over 30 years. Mike was an avid collector of planes, trains, and automobiles and could be found flying his airplanes or working on cars in his downtime. May he rest in peace.

He is survived by his daughter Erica Quimby-Arce, her husband Alfredo and two grandchildren Aden & Aubrey; his sisters Teresa Gabarron of Austin, Linda Hirzel of Queen City, Mary Hirzel of Big Spring, Deborah Quimby of Andrews and brother Mark Quimby of Morton, MS. He has 3 nieces and 6 nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by both his mother and father.

Celebration of life services with Military Honors will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11:15 a.m. at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas 75211. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home, Lubbock, Texas
