Melissa (Ramos) Cervantes, 51, of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. She was born in Houston, Texas to Rafael and Elizabeth (Ramon) Ramos. She married Jose Cervantes in August of 2006 in Lubbock. She enjoyed playing bingo and listening to Barbara Streisand music. She loved spending time with her family, she was known as "Wela" by all of her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and Wela. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jose Cervantes; mother, Elizabeth Martinez and husband Manuel; daughter, Miranda Cano and son-in-law, Jason Serna; son, Arcadio Cano and daughter-in-law, Zoe Ramos; two siblings, Jennifer Lopez and husband Lorenzo, and Jason Ramos and Sonia Garcia; six grandchildren, Noel Cano, Aubree Serna, Damien Serna, Leilani Cano, Dax Serna and Arloe Cano; two nieces, Jessica Ramos, Lauren Ramos; two nephews, Joshua Ramos and Anthony Lopez; and great niece, Amila.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Rafael Ramos.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 12:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
