Matilde Gonzales, Jr, a lifelong resident of Lubbock passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, at the age of 61. He was born on April 27, 1960, to Matilde Gonzales, Sr. and Armendina (Uvalle) Gonzales. Jr. was a man of all trades, home repairs, landscaping and auto mechanics, you name it he would try to fix it. He was a true family man, classy dresser, and was known to some as the "OG of the family", Jr. enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Jr. had such a caring spirit and was always giving to those in need. Those left to cherish his memory are five brothers, Daniel Gonzales, John Gonzales, Richard Gonzales, Chris Gonzales, and Neo Gonzales; four sisters, Sarah Delarosa, Laura Gonzales Jessica Garcia and husband Bobby, and Mandy Alcorte and husband Jimmy J.; several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Matilde Gonzales, Sr and Armendina Gonzales; two siblings, Leroy Gonzales, and Jovita Gonzales. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with the rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at house of Angels Funeral home Chapel with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, Woodrow, Texas.
