Matilda Trevino Rodriguez, 76 of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. She was born on May 20m 1949 in San Patricio, Texas to Miguel and Reyes (Gutierrez) Trevino. Matilda loved spending time with her family and friends, she really loved cooking for them, her tamales and menudo were the favorites overall. She had such a giving and caring heart, this was evident since she worked in the home health care field for several years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Javier Rodriguez, Reymundo Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez, Rudy Rodriguez, Bernardo Rodriguez, Jr., and Mario Rodriguez; fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one sibling.

Matilda is preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Reyes Trevino; husband, Bernardo Rodriguez, Sr.; daughter, Erma

Rodriguez; son, Felix Rodriguez, and one grandson, Tito Lopez.
