Maria radiated warmth and love in every moment of her life. She left us on April 27, 2026, enveloped in the embrace of her beloved family at home. Her spirit will forever light our hearts. She was born on April 7, 1936, in Crystal City, Texas, to Tito and Cipriana Vargas.
Maria was a cherished member of a large family and a beloved mother figure among her eight siblings. The bond they shared was unbreakable, but it was the love for her children and grandchildren that truly defined her. Known for her nurturing heart, she was the go-to person for support and advice, always ready to guide with her motherly touch. She never hesitated to share her wisdom. Her kitchen was a sanctuary filled with laughter and love, with home-cooked meals at its center.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents; her beloved siblings; her husband, Marcos A. Rodriguez; her older son, Marcos V. Rodriguez Jr.; her grandson, Gabriel Rodriguez; and her great-granddaughter, E’nevah Phillips.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, including her children: Antonio Rodriguez; Angelina Ramirez (Domingo Ramirez); Jose Luis Rodriguez (Sophia Rodriguez); Juan Rodriguez (Carol Subia); Armando Rodriguez; Chasity DeLeon Rodriguez; Michelle Salas (Eric Salas); Anthony Rodriguez (Miranda Rodriguez); and Alize Rodriguez. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Maria’s physical presence may no longer be with us, but she will always live in our hearts and forever in our memories.
