Maria Antonia Hernandez, 76, of Lubbock passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023. She was born on June 12, 1946, in Durango, Mexico to Constancio Hernandez and Maria Trinidad Botello. She retired from the state school in 2003. She loved studying the bible, attending services, singing, dancing and most of all spending valuable time with her grandchildren. She attended of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church when she was able.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Christopher DeLeon and wife Jessica and Gil R. DeLeon; siblings, Lupe Llanas, Alejandra Nava and husband Johnny, Angelita Quintana and husband Alvino, Paula Esparza and Francisco Hernandez and wife Daria; eight grandchildren, Ariana, Giovanni, Lynda, Amarya, Re'lynn, Henry, Christopher, and Genavive, and one great grandson, Karmyne.

Maria Antonia was preceded in death by her parents, Constancio Hernandez and Maria Trinidad Botello, and one brother Hermilo Hernandez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 12:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 6:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
