Margarita Cruz Garza, 67, of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Margarita was born on October 1, 1953 in Slaton, Texas to Epmenio and Virginia (Ostiguin) Cruz. She married Alfonso Garza on March 27, 1970 in Slaton and together they began their family. She retired from Texas Tech Custodial Department in 2001. She enjoyed playing Bingo in her spare time and loved her family time, especially time with her grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Gerald Garza, Monica Benitez, Patty Garza, Jessica Garza and Erica Garza; two brothers, John and Joe Cruz; beloved cousin, Juanita Castillo; eleven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Margarita was preceded in death by her parents, Epmenio and Virginia Cruz; her husband Alfonso Garza; Brothers Louis and Augustine Cruz and two sisters, Carmen Olmos and Catarina Cruz. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at House of Angles Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Englewood Cemetery in Slaton
