Manuela Guzman, 75 of Lubbock passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020. She was born on July 7, 1945 in Mathis, Texas to Manuel G and Isabel (Rendon) Lopez. She married Emilio G. Guzman and together they began their family. Manuela was a prep cook with Aramark for 10 years. She loved her family and they loved her right back. She was very proud to call each and everyone of them her own. Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Esterrita Guzman, Ermalinda Perez and husband Edward, Yolanda Gonzalez and husband Santos, Jerry Guzman and wife Alice and Amanda Guzman, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, siblings: Maria Rendon Lopez, Julia Garcia, Isabel Hernandez, Manuel Lopez, Jr., Amy Oyervidez, Eloisa Rodriguez, Rebecca Saldana, Isabel Doherty, and Elvira Hernandez, and several extended family members. Manuela was preceded in death by her husband, Emilio Guzman, her parents Manuel and Isabel Lopez and three brothers: Juan Manuel, Panfilo, and Jesus Lopez. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel with rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 10:00 am at The City of Lubbock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.
