Lupie Garcia

Lupie Garcia, 90, of Lubbock, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 12, 1935, to Lee Rodriguez and Frances Olguin. Lupie was a woman who always lived life to its fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at cookouts and birthday parties. Lupie enjoyed music and loved dancing! She said it was a sad day when she realized she couldn’t dance anymore. Lupie was a very outspoken person; she loved to say what was on her mind. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Alejandro Garcia; children, Rebecca Garica & Ramiro Leal; siblings, Alice Ramirez, and Daniel Martinez; grandchildren, Michael, Crystal, and Ramiro Jr. Leal, Roxann Rodriguez, Jessica Fernandez, and Alexandra Ortiz; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Lupie was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Frances Martinez; her first husband, Ramon Rodriquez; her son, Eloy Leal; siblings, Ella Carillo, Oscar Martinez, Nena Gaiton, Eloise Alonzo; and a great-grandson, Zachariah Leal.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. ~ 12:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
