Kassin, Lucia Mae, age 64, of Clovis NM, passed away Sunday July 30, 2023 at 3:03 a.m. in Lubbock, Texas at Covenant Medical Center with family present. Lubbock's House of Angels Funeral Home will care for her cremation and return her to her family to spread in the Pacific Ocean in 2025.

A memorial service in honor of Lucy will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 1101 Pile St, Clovis NM, 88101 on August 12th at 9 a.m. with Steven Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the lupus foundation of America @ support.lupus.org

Lucy was born January 18,1959 in Flint Michigan to Aron and Beverly (Knowlden) Wilson. She married Robert J Kassin in Flint on November 18, 1976. Lucy followed Robert to each of his Air Force active duty stations until 1996 where he retired and they settled down in Clovis for the remainder of her life. While her children were growing she was a stay at home mama. Lucy then went on to obtain an Associates degree at Clovis Community College and a double Bachelors degree at the Eastern New Mexico University Portales campus.

She loved dancing, trivia & game shows, and being with friends and family. Most often you would see her with a book in her hand and a family size bag of lays potato chips within arms reach. She was mama to most of her children's friends.

She is survived by her loving husband Bob of Clovis NM, her sisters Lisa Wilson of Grand Blanc MI, and Debbie Ashurst of Coushatta LA, her brother Aron (Lynne Wilson) of Grand Blanc MI, 3 sisters in law Jerrie (Mike) Sylvanic, Sue (Bob) Gwinnup, and Theresa (Ken) Hillier, 5 brothers in law Pete Kassin, Frank (Debbie) Kassin, Larry (Dawn) Kassin, Henry Kassin, and Rudy (Janet) Kassin. She is also survived by her daughter Katrina (Billy) Najera, Katrina's children Kenneth Jaquess, Mikayla Najera and unborn grandchild, and Xavier (Hailey) Najera and unborn grandson Lucas all of Clovis, NM. Also her daughter Bethaney (Jeremy) Beach, Bethaneys daughter Tiffaney Beach all of Klamath falls OR and their children Cody and Maddison Beach of AL. Also her son Robert's children Joseph (Elizabeth) Kassin and their 4 children of MS, Autumn Kierstead and her 2 daughters of Colorado, Kayla (Justin) Lane and their 5 children of AL, and Cameron (Richard Stinson) Toole his 2 children and their unborn daughter of AL. She had other people that were considered close family to her Byron Rhodde, Dave Ashurst, Piney (Greg) Lyons, and Gloria Drake. And many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents Aron and Beverly Wilson; her in-laws Rudy and Marian Kassin; her sister in-law JoAnn Wilson, and her son Robert P Kassin.
