IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lucas Ezekiel
Hogan
September 2, 2025 – September 2, 2025
Our beloved son, Lucas Ezekiel Hogan, entered this world on September 2, 2025, and on the same day was called home to be with the Lord. Though his time on earth was brief, his life was full of meaning, light, and love.
The name given to him, Lucas Ezekiel, reflects the truth of who he was: "light bringer" and "God strengthened." Lucas was our Sunny Boy ☀️, a light-bringer who drew his strength from God. In his short but powerful presence, he unified our family and reminded us of the deep love that only comes from the Lord.
We hold close the words of 1 Samuel 1:27: "For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him." Lucas was an answered prayer, a gift from God, and though we must release him back into the arms of Jesus, his light will live on forever in our hearts.
Jesus reminds us in Luke 18:16, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God." We find peace in knowing that Lucas is safe in the Savior's embrace, where his joy and light will never fade.
Lucas Ezekiel was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Jim and Barbara Hogan, and his uncles and aunt, Andrew Barbosa, Angelita Barbosa, Angel Barbosa, Ramiro Barbosa Jr., and Matthew Barbosa.
He is survived by his loving parents, Zachary and Savannah Hogan; maternal grandparents, Ramiro and Angie Barbosa; and paternal grandparents, Robert Hogan and Raela Stander. He is also deeply loved by great-grandparents, extended family, and many friends who prayed for him and cherished him from the very beginning.
Lucas Ezekiel's life, though measured in moments, left an eternal mark. He was beautiful, strong, and deeply loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who love him, until we meet again in Heaven.
