Louis Alcorta, 84, of Lubbock, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022. He was born on August 17, 1937 in Poteet, Texas to the late Manuel and Juanita (Aldereta) Alcorta. Louis met and married Janie Sotello and celebrated many years together. He was a man of many trades, he spent years as a mechanic and truck driver. Louis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed. Those left to cherish his memory are his grandson, Joe Luis Alcorta and wife, Christina; great grandsons, Joe Richard Alcorta and wife, Alazay, Santana Alcorta; siblings, Manuel Alcorta and wife Yolanda, Angie Garcia and husband Richard, and Lupe Alcorta; five great-great grandchildren. Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Alcorta; children, Jesus and Joe Luis Alcorta, Sr. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Cremation is under the care of House of Angels Funeral Home.
