Loretta Maxine McNabb, 82, of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. She was born on August 26, 1943, in Littlefield to Warren and Arvilla (Sims) Tipton. Loretta was a long-time resident of Smyer, Texas. She married the late George McNabb in 1967 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was an avid reader who enjoyed fishing and loved to spend time with her family and friends. She and her best friend Elena, traveled to Virginia and the Carolinas several times together. Loretta was a member of South Plains Church in Levelland. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her loving memory are her children, George McNabb, Jr, and wife Tammy, Caroley McNabb and husband Johnny, Daryl McNabb and wife Sandra, Cynthia Chandler and husband Toby, and Gary McNabb and wife Maria; close sister in love, Elena Guerrero; siblings, Johnny Tipton, and Sue Shaver; twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren and several extended family and friends.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Arvilla Tipton; husband, George McNabb, Sr; siblings, Maurice Tipton and Finis Tipton.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Smyer First Baptist Church with burial to follow at the Smyer Cemetery
