Obituary

Kimberly Ann Jarrett, 62, passed away on May 18, 2025 in Lubbock, Texas. Born on December 22, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, Kimberly also lived in California for many years before settling in Texas where she grew and nurtured her family over the last 40 years. Kimberly pursued a career in retail management and was always commended for her work ethic and eye for detail. Beyond her career, she was a lifelong collector and hobbyist, an avid reader, and a self-proclaimed history and horror buff. Her snarky wit and morbid sense of humor were trademarks–never failing to amuse those around her. She also had an aptitude for the care of animals. Over the course of her lifetime, she bred and loved her rats, cats, and chickens.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Kimberly was proud of her family. She is survived by her brother, Danny Robinson; husband and partner of 35 years, Lonnie Jarrett; their children: Amber Moore, and her husband Lance, Patricia Quinn, and her husband Matthew, Stephanie Jarrett, Celestine Jarrett, and Andrew Jarrett. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Reilly, Ryan, and Arthur. She was also a source of support and wisdom to her children's oldest companions. Kimberly will also be sorely missed by her chickens and cats, who have lived a life of luxury and pampering.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Patricia Robinson, and Arland Hoffman. Kimberly's death also finally reunites her with her son, Arthur. It was in his memory and honor that she volunteered her time with the Compassionate Friends organization. Through her service, she offered empathy and comfort to grieving families.

Kimberly will be remembered most for unconditional love toward her children and innate ability to make everyone in the room feel included, special, and valued. She went out of her way to send reminders to all of her loved ones that they were thought about, despite their proximity or the passing of time. Through her diligence, she dutifully maintained lifelong relationships with family and friends scattered across the country.

Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
