Obituary

Karen Mae Nowers, 65, of Lubbock passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022. She was born on August 25, 1957, in Battle Creek, Michigan to Jewel Dotson and Anna Ruth Cranfill. She attended the University of Tennessee Chattanooga where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Society. She served for six years in the United States Air Force. She enjoyed gardening, Crocheting, and singing, she was very social and loved being around people. Karen also loved to go hunting and fishing. She was a customer services representative for Wells Fargo Telephone Banking. She was Baptist by faith.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Rhieannon Tipton and husband Coy; son, Rodman Nowers; daughter in love, Dawnisa Schwarts; father, Jewel Dotson and wife Rose; mother, Anna Ruth Cranfill; grandchildren, Kenzly Nowers, Keith Stokes, Jimmy Nowers, Cypress Tipton, and Dom Flores; siblings, Faron Dotson, Kim Ballentine, and Jim Myer and companion Crystal Payne; her little fur babies, Gucci, Buttons, Tony and Scooby, and several extended family members.

Karen was preceded in death by her life companion, Andrew Tolbert, and her fur baby, Casper.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
