Juanita "Janie" Cantu Winkleman, 90, of Lubbock, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. She was born on August 20, 1932 in Luling, Texas to the late Martin Castro and Sara Cantu. Janie was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all those that loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Mary Lou Martinez and husband, David, Jesse Zamarripa and wife Margie, Irene Ramos; sister, Maria Sandoval.

Janie was preceded in death by her son, Ernest Zamarripa; parents, Martin and Sara Cantu; siblings, Josie Castro, Elisa Torres, William Martinez, Simon Cantu, and Pauline Gonzales.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
