Juan Francisco Perez was born on December 1, 1936, to the late Florentino and Elvira (Yrugaz) Perez, Sr. in Menard, County, Texas. He grew up on the Appleman Ranch in Ft. McKavett. He moved to Lubbock from San Angelo, Texas. Juan met and married Aurora Venegas. In 1961 they married in Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico. Juan worked for several full-service stations and owned a Mobile Service station. He was a mechanic by trade. After leaving the gas and oil industry, he became the owner of Rocitas Café for 34 years before retiring in 2005.

Juan was survived by his loving wife, Aurora Perez of Lubbock; three sons, Ricardo Perez, Alfredo Perez and wife Billie Jo, and Lionel Perez and wife Joann, all of Lubbock; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 10:00 am- 1:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
