Jose Santos

Jose Santos went to be with his lord and savior on Saturday, May 23, 2026. He was born October 8, 1939, to the late Trinidad and Ascension Santos, in Brownfield, Texas. He was a cursillista from the Santo Nombre and was a Ministro de Communion. Jose and Loraine got married on October 17, 1959, and they began their journey as a family together. He was a simple man, with the biggest heart. Being the only man in a home full of women was nothing new to him, his wife and five daughters where his whole world. Jose worked for many years in the farming and agricultural business. He was hard working and always provided for his family. Jose was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Loraine Santos; five daughters, Loraine Valdez, Janie Garcia, Eva Pena, Mary Chavez, Sara Neil; sons-in-law, David Valdez, Abel Garcia; grandchildren, Angelica Valdez, Ariel Valdez, Abby White, Angel Santos, Thomas Garcia, Katherine Garcia, Stephanie Garza, Andrea Roderick, Stacy Duran, Jennifer Pena, Frankie Chavez, Adam Chavez, Michael Chavez, Becky Chavez, Amber Chavez, Brianna Davis, Erica Stark, Audrey Stark; 40 great-grandchildren; and three sisters Lidia, Gutierrez, Gloria Gutierrez and Ascension Balboa

Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad Santos and Ascension Santos.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. ~ 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
