Jose Luis Luna, 54, of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021. He was born on May 3, 1967, in Caldwell, Idaho to Raul and Aurora Guzman Luna. Jose was a welder by trade and loved everything about it. He was an avid New York Giants and Texas Tech fan that loved to tailgate and cook when he had the chance. Jose loved music and loved to dance, he also enjoyed a good round of golf when he had the chance, Jose was proud of his family and loved spending time with each one of them, he was a big teddy bear when it came to his grandkids, he was also very outgoing person and could make anyone and everyone laugh and smile.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother; Aurora Janssen, wife; Michelle Luna, five children; Erica Luna, Amanda Luna, Sergio Luna and wife Monique, Elias Luna and Neko Luna and wife Diana, three siblings Martin Luna and wife Christina, Sunny Luna and wife Natalia and Irmalinda Hooton and husband Timothy, grandchildren; Candee, Haylee, Cruzito, Carter, Ava, Lilliana, Bella, Viviana, Enzo, J.J. and Melanie, and several extended family and friends.
Jose was preceded in death by his father, Raul Luna, and four grandparents: Willie and Lucy Janssen and Albert and Petra Luna.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, from 12:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. with a rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, Woodrow, Texas.
