Jose Francisco Alonzo, Sr., 75, of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. He was born on November 30, 1945 in Mathis, Texas to Felipe and Amada (Rodriguez)) Alonzo. Jose loved quality family time and really enjoyed, gardening, friends, cooking, fishing, and, traveling. He was the "Jack of all trades", teaching home building skills to all of his children, he was very encouraging and supportive of them and their families. Jose enjoyed watching the old westerns, John Wayne, Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal, were just a few of his favorites. His fur babies were very special to him. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, JoAnna Alonzo, Jose Alonzo, Jr., and wife Auboney and Thomas Alonzo and wife Adrienna; grandchildren, Alexander, Brennon, Nico, Adaliz, Addison and Augie; three sisters, Rebecca Avalos, Linda Araguz and Josie Alonzo. Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Amada Alonzo, and three brothers, Ernest, Mario and Johnny Alonzo. Cremations services under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home, Lubbock, Texas.
