Juan Manuel Rosa "Johnny", 67, a lifelong resident of Lubbock, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 7, 2020. He was born on January 7, 1953 in Lubbock to the late Manuel Salinas Rosa, II and Rosa Castillo Rosa. He married the love of his life, Mary Olalde on November 1, 1974 in Lubbock where the Lord blessed them with a wonderful life and family.
Johnny was an auto mechanic who worked for Tech Auto for 30 years, before becoming a self-employed mechanic. Johnny loved spending time with the Lord, reading his Bible and singing praises to his name. Johnny loved spending quality time with his family, whether it be playing all kinds of games, watching football or going fishing, he was happy as long as we were together, and spending "Grandpa Johnny" time with the grandkids was the best. He loved telling people stories and making people laugh, had a great sense of humor. Johnny loved all his family tremendously , and had an unconditional love for everyone and loved sharing God's word with everyone wherever he went. Take a moment and read John 3:16
We were all so blessed to have him in our lives. We all love and miss you tremendously, but one day we will see each other again.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Mary Rosa, two sons; Joshua Rosa (Jessica) and James Rosa, both of Lubbock, four brothers; Manuel Rosa, III (Linda Duran) of Lubbock, Julian Rosa of New Deal, Jesse Rosa (Margaret) of Lubbock, Adan Rosa (Yolanda Delgado) of Lubbock, six sisters, Ester Aguirre of Florida, Julia Bocanegra of Rockwell, Texas, Sylvia (Sammy) Canales of Lubbock, Elsa Rodriguez (Facundo Hiracheta) of New Home and Emma Rosa Duty (Tim) of Shallowater, Texas, three grandchildren; Jenna, Jewel, and Nathaniel Rosa.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Pablo Rosa, two sisters-in-law; Benita Rosa, Angie Rosa and two brothers-in-law; Johnny Bocanegra and Mario Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. with a pray service being held at 7:00 P.M. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. At Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
