Joel Jimenez Gomez, 63, of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. He was born on July 31, 1957 in Big Lake, Texas to Antonio and Maria (Jimenez) Gomez. Joel married Susanna Gomez on November 15, 1994 in Lubbock, Texas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandson. Joel was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Susana; daughter, Brittany Gomez and significant other, Domingo Castillo and their son, Domingo Castillo Jr.; siblings, Jesse Gomez, John Gomez, Lina Constancio, Diana Gomez, and Angie Gomez. Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Maria Gomez, brother, Robert Gomez. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with Rosary being recited at 7:00p.m. Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Resthaven Memorial Park.
