Joe "Wero" Andrada, 69 of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022. He was born on November 23, 1952, in Austin, Texas to Fred Andrada, Sr., and Pauline (Serda) Andrada. He married Vickie in 1968 in Quanah, Texas and together they began their family. Wero was a hardworking man. He loved his job in road construction. The way his family tells the story, he built every road in Lubbock except the ones falling apart. He played the guitar, danced, played bingo, and enjoyed spending time at the casinos when he could. Wero was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved his family and spending time with them. He was catholic by faith.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vickie Andrada; four children, Cynthia Rodriguez, Deborah Barajas and husband Alberto, Ernest Joe Andrada, and Jamie Rangel and wife Jo; three siblings, Ester Rodriguez, Carmen Hernandez, and Ricky Andrada; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Wero was preceded in death by his parents, Fred, Sr., and Pauline Andrada; two brothers, Freddy, Jr. and Manuel and one sister, Irene.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
