Jimmy Ray Lopez, 29, of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2022. He was born in Bakersfield, California on November 22, 1992, to Veronica Cabrera. Jimmy was a 2011 Graduate of Frenship High School. He loved the outdoors, fishing, kayaking, camping, and cooking out on the grill. Jimmy had a great sense of humor, always needing to make someone laugh. He was an avid Raiders fan, from Oakland to Las Vegas, he cheered them on no matter where they were. Jimmy was a great dad to his three children and was a very proud father.
Those left to cherish his memory are his three children, Alannia Lopez, Jeremiah Alonzo, and Max Lopez; parents, Veronica and Jason Long; four siblings, Jovanne Lopez and husband Fernando Salazar, Kaylee Long, Natalie Long and Jacob Renteria; grandparents, Elpidio and Petra Cabrera and Earl and Paula Madrid; three nieces and three nephews; and his loving fur baby, Hobo Lopez.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his Great grandparents, Oscar and Guadalupe Cabrera and Margie Hawkins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
