Jeanette Rita Levenson was born April 19, 1941, to Sigmund Janus and Catherine Mary Senones in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She passed away on November 15, 2021, at her home. Jeanette is survived by her sister, Antoinette (Toni) Orndorff and husband (Bob), as well as her nieces and nephew, Michael Orndorff (Becky), Maureen Ebert (Fred) and Catherine Mousavi (Reza.) She also leaves behind a very special "adopted" niece, Juanema Christensen (Nick) and many great nieces and nephews. Jeanette was predeceased by husbands Richard Gillis and Edward Levenson. Jeanette worked as an executive secretary and then as manager of personnel administration at Baltimore Paint in her younger years. She and husband Dick spent several years building a house (and living in it during the build!) on their dream farm. After Dick passed, she met up again with Ed, the former vice president of Baltimore Paint. Jeanette found love again and married Ed. They went on a dream honeymoon to Australia and then settled in Florida. After Ed passed, Jeanette moved between Lubbock and Maryland, before making Lubbock her permanent home. Jeanette found great joy in gardening, her animals, and especially her Catholic faith. She was a member of the National Home Gardening Club and worked for a time at Mary Lee Gardens, which she loved. Although Jeanette had no children, she loved her fur babies and treated them royally. She was a devout Catholic and in years past was a Eucharistic Minister and worked for Hospice. Services will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 7. A rosary will be said at 1:30, with a mass at 2:00. Inurnment to follow at the Columbarium at the church. In lieu of flowers, Jeanette would appreciate it if donations were sent to the Haven Animal Care Shelter. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home, Lubbock, Texas.
