James Mark Montana, Sr., 61, of Brownfield, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025. He was born on December 16, 1963, in Brownfield to Omene Blue Montano and Minnie (Leal) Montano.

James was known to be a local farm hand, he had a love for animals, horses, country music and beer. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Mariah, Angelina and Neveah Montana; two sons, James Montana, III and Jesse James Valderas; siblings, Gracie Montano, Omene Montano, Jr., Teresa Montano, Naomi Montano, David Montono, Sr., Max Montana, Rosemary Valderas, Linda Valderas, and Gilbert Valderas.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Omene and Minnie Montano, siblings, Cody Montano, Joseph Montano, Angelina Montano, Norma Montano and Minnie Valderas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel, 1211 Lubbock Rd, Brownfield, Texas 79411. Burial will follow at the Brownfield Cemetery.
