Jacovo Dillard

Jacovo Dillard, 89, of Brownfield passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. He was born on February 15, 1937, to David and Juanita (Serna) Dillard. He married Paula Rodriguez on August 21, 1955, she was the love of his life, she passed away in 2001. He was a farmer in the agriculture areas of the South Plains of Texas. Farming was not only his way of providing for his family, it was also a wonderful hobby too, he loved being out in the open air and even in later years he admired scenery of the rolling south Plains with a John Deere tractor plowing the rows. Jacovo enjoyed a good cup of coffee and conversations with his family and friends, these special times will be missed by everyone that knew him.

Those left to cherish his loving memory are his children, Diane Tristan and husband Javiel, Joe Dillard and wife Lora, and Adela Porras and husband Manuel; siblings, David Dillard, Jr., Marcela Dillard, and Audona Garcia; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren; and several extended family and friends.

Jacovo is preceded in death by his parents, David and Juanita Dillard, wife, Paula Dillard, son, Juan Dillard and five siblings.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 6:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home, 1211 Lubbock, Rd, Brownfield, Texas 79316. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at House of Angels Funeral home, 1211 Lubbock Rd., Brownfield, Texas 79316. Burial will follow services at the Brownfield Cemetery.
