Obituary

Our special mother, Jackie Lynn Duby Plaskett, passed away on January 16, 2024, with her loving husband and children by her side.

Jackie was born to Delores Marshall on March 14, 1949, in Fort Riley, Kansas. She was the second oldest of six children.

Jackie graduated from Andrew Hill High School in San Jose, California in 1966.

In 1974, she started her career at Safeway in King City, California, where she raised her five children, Sherry, Chucky, Trisha, Tommy and Dennalee. She happily retired 33 years later.

Jackie married her "Prince Charming in a cowboy hat," Jeff Plaskett, on November 13, 1999. Together they enjoyed life on their Triple J ranch in Bryson, California, where she loved gardening and feeding the wildlife, but picnics in her meadow, her paradise, made her smile the most.

Jackie enjoyed going to bingo at the Indian casinos, so much so, that taking her children and grandchildren on their 18th birthday was a tradition she started and everyone looked forward to.

She loved quilting and has made her grandchildren and great grandchildren special quilts they can cherish forever.

She valued her time spent with her lifelong partners in crime, Sharon McLaughlin and Freddie Baldwin. They were known as the Three Amigos and could turn any situation into a fun time with lots of laughter.

Jackie is preceded in death by her three heroes, her grandmother, Minnie Marshall, her mother, Delores Flores, and her brother, Jim Duby and her first grand dog, Blondie. We find comfort in knowing she is reunited with them.

She will be sorely missed by her husband, Jeff, her children, Sherry, Chucky, Trisha, Tommy, Dennalee, Rowdie, Kyle, their spouses, 25 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and all her family and friends.

If you know our mother, you know she was a warrior! She always put everyone's needs before her own. She fought fiercely for what she believed in and never backed down. She was the strongest person we know and she never let us down. She is and always will be our hero!

In memory of our mother, plant a succulent, dye your hair purple, go to bingo and vote Trump2024!
