IInes Gomez Marquez, 74, of Lubbock passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022. He was born on April 13, 1948, in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico to Ines Pena Marquez and Tomas Mora Gomez. He married Esmeralda Romo on July 30, 2005, in Lubbock, Texas and together they blended their two families. Ines loved spending time at the lake, where he enjoyed fishing, and swimming, to him family time was quality time. Ines had a love for all animals. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Esmeralda Marquez; children, Norma Marquez, Lorena Marquez, Jaime Esquibel & wife, Nichole Esquibel, Lori Marquez & husband, Brandon Davis, Adriana Marquez Adams & husband Chris Adams Gaberiella Marquez; stepsons, Adam Solis, Christopher Solis; stepdaughters, Christina Solis, Sonia and husband, Israel Deleon; grandchildren, Brenda, Brian, Berenice, Adrian, Aron, Alexis, Jaime, Ismael, Mia, Lilian, Natalia, Jesiah, Zachariah, Zachary, Joshua, Cheyenne, Kaija, Mikayla, Natalie, Isabella, Cassandra, Michael, Zaira, Isaiah, Jaden, Jalen, Josiah, Evan, Sofia, Krislyn, Azian, Ismael, Brendan, London, and Rayyon; great-grandchildren, Alayna, Sofia, Jayden, Milliana, Ainsley, Archie, and Jet. Ines was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carmen Marquez; brother, Lupe Marquez; stepson, Jose G. Solis. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor,Paul Ramon officiating, at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow, Texas.
